PLAYSTATION: First Playstation 2 specs??? The chipset incorporates to main chips, a DSP and a RISC chip. The DSP is said to run at 250 mhz, and has hardware MPEG-2, which is used for DVD. Could the Playstation 2 used DVDs instead of CDs? I have heard rumors that the Playstation 2 will be able to push 10-12 million polygons per second. It might even use NURBS(Non-uniform Rational B-Splines). NURBS are supposed to make in game videogame graphics look a lot more like the CG cinemas in most games today. Is all this true? Only time will tell. First Pocketstation games! Crash Bandicoot:Warped (Japanese version)- Features a mode where you can do the Crash Dance and unlock secrets in the actual game. Street Fighter Alpha 3- You can build up your characters strength and gain new moves. Pocket Dungeon- Explore a dungeon in first-person view mode. Theme Aquarium- Build and run your own aquarium. Pocket MuMu- A compilation of the different mini-games from the Jumping Flash series. FYI-the Pocetstation is said to be compatible the sequel to Intelligent Cube, Final Fantasy VIII, and Monster Rancher 2.
